New to the MF35 World

Just Inherited my grandfathers' 1963 MF35 Deluxe Gas 4 cyl Z134 tractor with a Davis 101 loader and International box scraper. 20 years ago I drove it on a regular basis but the last 10 years it has sat uncovered in the Arizona desert. Hired a transporter to get it to me and intend on rebuilding later this year. The only info I have is 'the bearings are gone'. I've got a feeling more than that is gone! Found this forum and the 981 pages of posts....reading everything that has to do with this tractor and have made it to page 254!! I've learned so much (including how to tell what this tractor is) thanks to everyone posting their questions, answers an photos. Watched the 4 hour youtube on rebuilding the steering box. What an incredible resource this is. I look forward to leveraging your experience and sharing my project as it progresses.

since the MF 35 and the TO 35 are pretty much the same you may get more results to your posts on the Harry Ferguson page. good luck with it. also get proper manuals.

S standard chassis

G gasoline

M dual clutch

that serial number, at least to me, indicates a MF 35 not Workbull ?????

Correct, that's not a WorkBull. As far as I know, all WorkBulls were industrial yellow, had a thick, solid cast front axle, and did not come with spin-out rear wheels (which is an Ag tractor trait). WorkBulls also came with power steering/rams on each side of the axle (not just a power steering box in the column)

The WorkBull also has a very thick steel nose on it, squared off and not smooth/flowing like the 35.

Functionally, the MF35 Utility and the 202 WorkBull are nearly identical.

This is the front of my Workbull. You can see the front axle on both sides. That square hunk of metal is solid from one tire to the other. It has a hole in the center where it rides on a pivot pin with a grease zirc on it.

To see Cary's pic, right click and open in new tab/window. Photobucket hijacked everyone's pics.

My MF35 Utility has that same front axle, as did machines like the 2135 (the industrial version of the 135).

Does my picture not show? I see it in my post. This is the first time in a long time I've used Photobucket. That picture was an old one that I only had on photobucket. I stopped using photobucket the first time they started getting squirrely and started charging people.

Shows up like this. Same thing happened to me with hundreds of pics hosted on all sorts of different forums I ve been a member of over the years.

When you say the bearing are gone which do you mean ? Engine bearings?
Hardly ever rains and then its so hot any water that has collected should evaporate. I spent some time in Yuma and its "dry" heat.
The Z134 engine is a good one. Continental made millions of them so parts are easy to come by. I rebuilt a model 50 in 2008 that has the same engine and its rock solid. You will have fun with it and it will be around for 58 more years I bet.
