I thought at one time I'd seen a replacement fender style tool box for the 65. Mine been welded several times and is pretty much toast. Is there an affordable replacement out there?

Do you mean the one that is built into the fender?
more of a pocket than a tool box. no cover so water can get into it easily.

Here is a link to the in fender tool box.

That's the one.

(quoted from post at 15:02:52 01/06/20) They are available from this site. Look under the "Tractor Parts" heading near the top of the left column.

I'm looking for the built in tool box within the fender, not the rectangular tool box with a lid. That would be waaaaay too easy! ;)

I don't know how authentic you want to stay but ammo boxes make good fender tool boxes. This is on my 8N. I have one for my MF202 but just haven't gotten around to mounting it yet.

If a person had a little metal fabricating skill, I wonder what could done with a big block chevy valve cover?

(quoted from post at 09:25:42 01/07/20) makes ya wonder why the Ferguson people did not drill a drain hole in the bottom.

Well there's definitely a hole in the bottom of the one I have now. You could throw a cat through it!

My 65 pocket fender box had some rust holes.
I trimmed out the rust and sanded until I was satisfied with it
and primed it.
I got a fiber glass repair kit at Ace Hardware and trimmed the fiber glass to suitably fit then put 4 layers
in it covering the hole with about a 2 inch overlap.
Its very sturdy with the multiple layers and carries toplink pins,
lynch pins, adjustable wrench and just stuff. No problems.
If you do this just make sure you use plenty of hardener.

That's ok if you want to stay original, but that fender box on my 202 doesn't really hold a lot of stuff. I much rather prefer a fender mounted ammo box. Plus, as said before, it's water proof.
