Xs two with moresmoke, cultivator lift. The PTO must be on and running for it to cycle. The foot pedal on the right is pressed/ released and the arm makes 1/2 turn and stops. Hit the pedal again and the arm turns another 1/2 turn, holding the pedal down and the arm will keep turning. I doubt it would be strong enough for a mounted picker unless it's balanced really well. My 101 JR has the same lift.

It was an early option, before hydraulics became popular, and was used only for a mounted cultivator. Once the hydraulic system was developed, it became more popular since it could be used for multiple applications, including the 3 pth. Watch your left heel when using.....
