Bio Diesel; Is any Amount Good?

I was wondering about the use of bio Diesel and if there are any benefits to mixing small amounts of it with regular Diesel fuel in order to increase lubricity to fuel fuel system components? I?ve seen Dieseltech comment on other posts that biodiesel will gum up an injection pump and cause problems. Just wondering about limited amounts, or should I just stick to adding treatments such Howe?s or Power Service etc?
Thanks

Most diesel used in trucks is 10-20% bio and doesn't seem to be a problem. Main concurn is algae and that can be prevented by using clean containers for transport and storage plus not storing for longer than necessary. If a system has used only dino for years, introduction of bio might flush crap out and some may end up where you don't want it,depending on where filter(s) are located.

My Oliver mechanic claims bio diesel is made by adding something to regular diesel to make it bio diesel. He's seen all kinds of problems caused by using bio diesel where he lives. We have been using bio diesel from a different supplier in our combine and tractors with no issues whatsoever. He overhauled our tractor and was surprised to hear we use bio diesel as he couldn't tell we were using bio diesel. I guess it depends on what percentage you use as to what problems a person could have?
