Mf203 air cleaner?

Hi guys,so i was working on the mf
203,doing a bunch of maintenance,then
when i got to the air cleaner,i took the
steel mesh out,i know what everyone says
about not taking em out,but i am glad i
did because the lower mesh was pretty
good,i was planning on soaking it in a
bucket of diesel, until i pulled out the
top mesh, which looked like it ain't seen
daylight in 50 years,so i guess the
previous owner didn't know it had two,or
just didn't care,anyhow,I've looked
everywhere for replacements,i can't find
anything except standard 3"x78",which was
way too small,
Thanks,Rock

Parts book doesn't show anything about mesh.

I looked in agco parts book,as you said
nothing about it,so i am clueless,i
couldn't even find mesh for mf35,is there
any other more common cross references
that might work,its the rectangle/square
air cleaner,if that matters,
Thanks,Rock

In a quick search I could only find the 3" x 78" part. It said:
- Approximately 3" wide x 78" long per bag
- Utility tractors require 2 bags / 2 elements

What size is your filter - could you use 2 and stack them?

Well,i actually orderded those,but it
seems to be half the size, but if i can't
find the right ones,do you think i attach
two of them together with wire or
something to make longer, and do that for
both,or would that just be a real hack
job,
Thanks,Rock

That s what the mesh is made for so I would think it would be OK. However, without seeing the inside of your filter housing I m only guessing.

I will post a picture of the housing
tommorow,i don't have one now,but it is
rectangle,with a pipe/tube/shaft in the
middle,
Thanks,Rock
