On a sombre note it is our Rememberance Sunday here in the UK in two hours at 11am. There will be many services being held around the world. If you can, try and take a moment in your busy day to think of those that did not come home.
Thanks

My Mothers siblings were born 1916>1925........six of her siblings were "Conscripted"...That's when a representative of the CANADIAN GOVERMENT arrives at your door and you leave with in hours.

I visited the Roman Coliseum in Rome Italy (2016) with a photo of an uncle, he was killed In action and is laid to rest in Italy.....

I visited the location (Coesano Beach Italy (2016) )were his identical brother was mortally wounded in a Tank....

I visited France (1974)were another Uncle was shot down on his 25 bombing run..he was the commander of bombing runs from England to Continental Europe....

I have yet to visit the site were my Grandfathers brothers are laid to rest in Europe ...WW1

Canada and the United States paid heavily in the above WARS.

Some history record the Allied deaths at Approximately 45,000 Canadian soldiers and military members died during World War II, according to Veterans Affairs Canada
Over 14 million Allied soldiers and military died during World War II.

United States of America - 418,500 casualties, almost all troops. The US mobilized 16.3 million troops during World War 2

My family and live and reside in a Nation of Freedoms. Your bloody right everyone of us should have to participate and remember those you gave their best for us!

Hello Bob, I have had the privilege to visit British, American and French cemeteries in France. I will freely admit that I stood in each one and was almost reduced to tears with the emotion and gratitude to those who gave their lives for us to be free today.

Good morning DavidP, South Wales....

I was a student in 1967 when the school district recruited Teachers from out side of Canada....
One of these Teachers that made a great influence in my choice of a life carrier, was a Mr. Ian Walsh.....from Wales......:)
Canada was very fortunate to have had the Walsh family immigrate to Canada........
