This is my first tractor and so I have been working on a Massey Ferguson 135 diesel tractor. The hydraulics was not working so I took of the lift cover. I found 2 small rollers( one with two notches and one that was solid) A long spring, e-clip and a smaller shiny silver spring. I figured out the long spring was the hydraulic pump cam oscillator spring and the e-clip held this in. I also figured out the roller with the two notches goes on the two metal arms that protrude up from the pump. What I cant figure out is where does the solid roller go and where dos the shiny spring go. I have looked everywhere. Any help would be helpful.

There is only one location for the roller
that you describe and that is in the top
of the pump arm. Did you remove the
roller before taking the cover off? That
is absolutely essential. Can you post a
picture of the spring?

Thanks for the quick reply, When I bought the tractor, they guy started it up and I heard a clanking noise from under the seat. He did say he opened up the top but didn't see anything so he bolted the top back down. I'm not sure if these are some parts that fell in and no one ever got them out.

Hi, the roller with the grooves is the
correct one....not that the other one is
wrong. The spring as suspected is the
draft lever spring which when the cover
is fitted is right in the top of the
cover. It hooks into the draft linkage,
you will see the small hole in the draft
lever. The other end hooks onto the draft
frame. The two plates of the draft frame
are held together with a spacer between
them. It hooks on here.
Make sure that you fit the roller after
the cover is fitted.

Finally got the spring on and the roller in. All went together perfectly. Now off to Tractor Supply for some hydraulic fluid and she will finally go back to work next weekend. Thank you for all your help!!!
