TO30 12v Starting problems

My TO30 will not fire up and eventually do nothing. For instance, I turn the key to ignition, choke and then push the shift arm to S and it cranks, and cranks and cranks trying to turn over a good 3-5 seconds then I would wait 30 seconds and try it again. The tractor only lets me do this 3x then nothing. key on, shift arm to S and nothing- no crank or anything. I tested the battery and it gave me 12.7 v, the battery is a Group 25 and is that the reason and can't get many more crank options out of it? I do not want to ruin the starter as it is brand new. I also tested the Solenoid and it worked or I heard the click. Any advice will be appreciated.

First off check all battery cable connections and make sure there clean tight and bright. As for the solenoid just because it clicks does not mean it is good. Also do a bit of trouble shooting since it does not fire up and run.
#1 make sure you have a good blue white spark at the center wire of the distributor cap and at all the plug wires that jump a 1/4 inch gap or more
#2 pull the carb drain plug and make sure you get a good steady flow of gas that will fill a pint jar in less hen 3 minutes

Thank you Tractor Guru. I guess i would need another person to check to see the blue/white spark on the Center cable and the other 4 while I try to start I imagine. Also, I will check the gapping of the new spark plugs as I did not do that out of the box.
Any other recommendations with a volt meter I can test? Appreciate it.

Hook the volt meter to the ignition side of the coil and turn on the ignition. If the points are closed you should read little to no voltage and if the points are open you should read battery voltage. If you get battery voltage with the points closed there dirty and need to be cleaned or replaced

I never tell any one to get away from the points system. A good set of point will last a person for years and even a decade or more and cost $10 where as the electronic set up wil cost you $100 plus and they do not last a lot of time
