ok gentlemen need to pick some brains I've got a Massey 150 gas engine I'm wanting to change the harmonic balancer out so I can install a front pump has anyone done this without disassembling the tractor's front end? I've got the bolt out which was a pain but do I need a puller to remove the harmonic balancer?

ok gentlemen I've got my front pump installed and plumed in everything is hooked up( after several color metaphors) haven't installed the fluid yet hoping and praying for no leaks. I think I'm going to have a problem the steering elephant nose on the power steering is going to hit my shaft that runs the pump when I turn to the left. this power steering came off a 165 Massey any body have ideas on how I can adjust the steering to prevent this any help will be helpful. I cant move the elephant nose because its has a flat spot for alignment( all ready took it off and tried)

I would use no less than a 14 gpm pump, you could run one with less gpm, but the loader won't work as fast.

ok gentleman I replaced the balancer on this tractor without having to remove the front end it was a pain but after several colorful metaphors and making a puller I got it changed and the new seal installed my question is now what size pump would be best to run this loader I've checked on all the sights and read the info and am now more confused than ever I assume(and we all know what that means)that I need at least a 15 gpm pump to maintain a 10gpm flow am I correct in this or does it need to be bigger any help will be helpful

Are you sure you need to remove it? The adapter we had on our 165 bolted into existing holes on the original one.

There are no mounting holes in the existing balancer to mount the adapter

You do need a puller to remove the pulley, not going to happen with the front axle support still on the tractor.
