MF150 not charging

Hi EVeryone,
MY MF150 alternator is no longer charging the battery. I had the alternator checked at a shop and he said it was good. The belt is tight so thats not it. I checked the wire going to the gage and it looks good. It is a one wire alternator going to the gage on the dash. The gage shows the alternator is not charging. Where does the wire go from the gage? Any suggestions on what could be keeping the alternator from charging the battery?

I don't see a wire going to the battery, There is a wire leaving the gage could it be going to the starter or somewhere else? Something strange, my fuel gage quit working at the same time.
