I need a generator for my F-20. I have one from an old MH 44 parts tractor. It has a tag on it that is black, but there isn't an readable info on it. Another tag is red and says American on it. The regulator is mounted on the generator, but the cover had been removed and this generator looks to have been under water for a long period of time. Everything is rusted together. I got the thing apart and freed up. I haven't a clue as to what it is. Would it be 6 volt positive ground.

That is what a 44 came with...6 volt positive ground. However, that may not be what it is now, Sounds like it will need a complete rebuild anyways, there might be a cheaper route.
