Fuel lift pump

My 3 cylinder diesel has sprung a leak (again) around the fuel glass bowl and on parts I see some model pumps don't have the bowl. I'd like to order one without the pesky bowl part and wonder if this is an option?

Hi, in general glass-bowl lift pumps were fitted to all 35s and 135s up to about 1970 in the UK. There is no reason why a non-glass pump cant be fitted but you will probably need to change the fuel pipe from the tank as the nglp requires a longer pipe. The other thing is that you need to be sure that you order a pump with a two bolt mounting.

Great, Thanks David just going to try some rtv and let it set till next grass cutting since I'm such a cheapskate. Would hate for it to go up in flames with a leak!

The US 135's with the glass bowl fuel pumps are part number 890960M91 Used Prior To Engine Serial Number 152UA46497D.

Or part number 885363M91 Used Prior To Engine Serial Number 152UA46497D.

The glass bowl is part number 1004498M1, and the gasket is part number 1004496M1

To use the pump without the glass bowl part number 886062M91 you will need to rework the fuel lines for it to work. All 3 of those pumps use the same fuel pump to engine gasket.
