Have what i thought to be a Ferguson 40 Id tag has been removed from dash, what I have may be a massey ferguson50 or a massey Harris 50 are there nany casting numbers that would identify, Think it is what is known as a high arch 38 inch rear tires when i got it it had 6.50 front tires which gave the appearence that the tractor was going uphill

Look at the column to the left. You will see a heading that says "Galleries". The first item under that says "Tractor Photos". Click on that and put each model in the search bar. You will see that the Ferguson 40 has a 2 piece hood and vertical ribs in the grill. The Massey Harris 50 has a one piece hood with scallops along each side. You already have a picture of a Massey Ferguson 50.

Thanks to all! after looking at gallery photos I defenlety have a Ferguson 40 wrong color will post photo tomorrow, presently installing a new gas line and doing some electrical cleanup changed engine oil. engine started ran short time. may have to pull carb.not much room between carb mounting bolts and Manifold. Tractor has set for afew years.but enginee oil was clean no water anti freeze still present in Radiator. All in all it is a quite impressive looking tractor.
