Don`t think I`m getting quite the fuel mileage I should.

Never owned a diesel till this tractor. 1966 MF 165D per serial #. I believe its an injection pump leak. I`ve got an op,service, part CD for my 35. Are the pumps same-ish? Thanks for looking!! Well Dang it, I`ll try to upload the video tomorrow.

Is the engine oil level rising? That can be supply pump, injection pump, or power steering pump internal leak. External leaks can also be at supply pump, filter and/or injection pump area.
I have a 175 injection pump on the test stand now that came in with leaks..

I took a 10 second video but we`ve not been able to load it. It`s even shooting a "mist" between the pump & block. It`d sure be nice if all I needed to do was tighten something a bit ;) . My wife is going to compress that video at work so I can post. I see your in Indiana, don`t `spose your around Vincennes to E`ville, the West side of? Again, Thanks for the looks & advice!

Be careful of that mist and its source. If it is high pressure and you get a hand/finger too close you can get oil injected under the skin, which can cause serious injury; or death in worse cases.

Try tightening each injection line banjo bolt, the sealing washers may be spraying the fuel mist you see. The washers MAY need replaced to stop the leak..
