massey 1080,power steering pump

is there a relief valve on the pump to adjust to make steering easier,it is easier when you speed up the engine... but otherwise...its tough to turn the wheels

If steering gets worse when hot, pump is probably worn too much internally. If so, a relief valve setting change won't help. First I'd lift the front off the ground and grease both spindles well, if you're lucky that might fix it..

there is what looks like on in the sump,but not in the pump casing on the outside like in the shop book,,, the one in the sump is it the one i adjust

steering is same hot or cold,wheels off ground can cycle steering...the relif setting in the sump isthat it...

seems i have real easy steering in 3llow range, highmp at1500 rpm...
