Voltage regulator replacement on MF 50 deisel

When I replace the voltage regulator on my MF 50 diesel tractor do I need to flash the generator?

Most times I don't have to. Try it first to see.

If the generator has been recently working and no changes (such as reversing battery ground polarity) have been done, changing the regulator should have no effect on the generator.

On the other hand, if you know how to correctly polarize your charging system (procedure is different between "A" and "B" circuit charging systems) there's sure no harm in polarizing the generator before startup, just to be on the safe side.
