135 lift issue

Just got the tractor running after sitting for about 10 years. Lift arms will raise and lower, will hold in any position. With any weight on it will not lift, just ?jerk?. Fluid is clean and level is ok. Any help is appreciated.

Not sure on that tractor but if it has a side cover plate you can remove and look inside that would be where I would start

Thanks! I?m going to go see my local Massey mechanic and get his thoughts. I don?t think it has an inspection plate.

Hello, what implement are you trying to lift? Is it one which places a heavy load on the top link? If so, replace the top link with a temporary chain attached where the hinge pin fits in the three lugs. There may be a problem in the control spring area and that is causing the control valve to 'hover' between pumping and neutral. Drain the trans oil to the level of the bottom bolt on the right hand side cover and remove the cover. When the 'jerking ' occurs does the pump control valve lever show signs of jerking as well? Does the tractor have Pressure Control ? This can be seen by a longer inner quadrant with PC stamped on it. If it does the problem could be bad/incorrect adjustment and it is bleeding oil from the system.
