Massey Ferguson 583 Sudden lift failure

It's been a few years since I've posted- glad to tap into this vast amount of knowledge. This tractor may not be an antique, but uses a very similar hydraulic internal system of many of the older series. I'd been cutting hay, dropped off the mower, and went to lift the arms, nothing.
If anyone could offer some guidance, I'd appreciate it.

Here's what I've done: Drained hydraulic fluid (about 100 hours old), cleaned screen in sump of tractor, as well as the suction strainer for the the auxiliary system, both were fairly clean. I removed the dipstick side inspection cover. The levers appear to work as normal when operated. When both the draft and position are at the bottom of the quadrant, the lever that rests against the roller on the control valve linkage is just touching the roller. When the the draft and position lever are in full up, the lever that engages the roller on the control valve linkage just dangles, and does not engage the control valve assembly.

I can reach in, and with some effort, move the control valve lever towards the front of the tractor. It actually feels like I'm only compressing a spring.

Here's one more odd thing. The tractor has a factory combining valve to combine flow of both pumps if needed for extra flow to the auxiliary hydraulics. Heres what's odd-when put in the lockout position (three point arms disabled as they should be, but the loader and remotes no longer work either. When in three point position, the loader and remotes resume working, but three-point still does not work.

Do the symptoms sound like a stuck control valve? Thanks for any pointers. I can get some photos if that would hel

Hello, when both quadrant levers are fully raised the pump lever should be pushing the vertical lever fully rearwards. The pump lever should be leaning backwards slightly. If it remains close to vertical it is not allowing the c/valve to move into the pumping position.
Can you move the lever rearwards by hand? The cv is not likely to be stuck, more likely something is preventing its full travel. It might possibly be the circlip or ring and pin become dislodged from the end of the cv spindle.

Perfect! I can not move it rearward by hand. Thank you for the reply. I'll do a full oil drain, take off the tire so I can get a better look and see what's going on. Many thanks,

John
