Ring Gear for Massey Harris 33

Does anyone know where I can get a flywheel ring gear for a Massey Harris 33? Or any remedies for damaged
ring gears?

Can you remove it from the flywheel and reverse it then re install? Don't remember how they are put together.

The 760 020 M1 gear fits Gas and LP 33, 44, 333, and 444 flywheels. The diesel gear number is 1000 804 M1 for 33, 44, 333, and 444 diesel flywheel, both are a heat shrink fit on the flywheel shoulder step. Might be easier to use a Dremel and re-bevel the worn gear leading edge where blunt, and do the same to the starter drive. If gear is really bad, and you don't want to change it, maybe finding a complete good used flywheel would be easier. Be aware, the gas and diesel difference is the tooth size and count.

plus you could remove it and give it a 90 degree turn , as the engine stops in the same place and its usually one or two bad spots on ring gear. once engaged and turning it don't matter. that's if you cant find one. plus touch up the damaged teeth.
