marvel schebler carb

can someone help identify my carb for repair kit its marvel schebler but no tag just stamped number inside 227-169 it also has a #8 stamped outside.

Take you carb or the carb gasket to O'Reilly's auto parts and they can compare it to the kits they sell. Good chance the kit will be a 778-505 which covers the small and medium size MS carbs. I do not know the number for the large and extra large carbs but each kit cover 2 sizes of carbs

thanks but there was no gasket in the carb and it was running when i bought it lol ill just bring the carb,

easy to make a gasket if thats all u need.

Then take the carb with you so you can compare gasket sizes simple as that. BTDT many times with many parts
