MF 1100 Diesel decal colors

I have a MF 1100 diesel (mid-late 60s vintage) that I'm trying to restore. Sheet metal in remarkably good shape but the "DIESEL" "MASSEY -
FERGUSON" decals that go from the nose along the hood to the mount handles by the console on each side are cracked and showing their age.
These (original?) decals are black lettering on a white background. I also noticed on the original decal that the "G" in Ferguson does not
have a serif (the little backward tick on the upswing part of the "G"). Today I received the new decals I ordered, only to find that they are
black letters on a (MF?) gray background; these were billed as OEM replacement. The "G" in Ferguson on these new decals also has the serif.
Most of the photos on the web I can find show black letters on a white background (like what I have) and the "G" without the serif. Can
anyone weigh in on this and please tell me what the original color and the "G" of this decal was? May seem like a trivial matter, but at $90
for a few feet of vinyl lettering I'd like to have the real thing. Thanks in advance, Bill
