We just bought a Massey TO35. The engine is locked up and part of the bellhousing is cracked. It looks to me like the old starter nosecone grenaded and parts fell down in the bellhousing, jammed into the ring gear, and is jamming everything up.
This is on the continental Z134 gas engine.
Crawling around under the tractor, it looks like I can pull that hurky oil pan off and it will expose the bottom of the bellhousing without splitting the tractor.
If I drop the oil pan will I be able to get at the bottom of the ring gear and flywheel, or will there be a wall of steel in the way?
