Electronic Points

I have used conversions kits with great success on lawn mowers outboards etc. This kit from the parts section claims to do much more in spark control and variable dwell. Has anyone tried this on a K140 MH.

Massey Harris Mustang Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit, High Performance, 12 Volt Negative Ground Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit, High Performance, 12 Volt Negative Ground - The Igniter II $139.00

My tractor to35 has that exact kit from pertronix installed by previous owner since 2012, no more messing with points.

Another person I know converted all his classic cars to this type of system, the investment up front is high, but time saved over the years counts a lot when the machine is down.

I would like to get a set for my 1962 mf35, should be the same thing. Where did you get it and do you remember
the part number.

Chuck they have them for sale in the parts section of Yesterdays Tractor. You can get there through this form. Basic kit is 80 bucks.

Has anyone ever tried the complete distributor replacements made by Pertronix Distributor 1940-Present 4 Cylinder Continental F4 Y4 Series D41-05A.

It says in write up if prior to 1965 you may need modification or adaptations to fit properly. Key being maybe?
