What type PTO is on the 150 tractor, I read they may be weak,
what should I be looking for when checking this tractor out? It
doesn?t have multi power so won?t have that to worry about ,
how about the lift and power steering any problems there, and
it?s the Continental gas so are they pretty good?

The PTO; could be two different ones. Gear driven (3 positions) or hydraulic driven (IPTO).

Power Steering; pull the front grille off and check for leaks (engine running). Check for slop/play in the spool linkage.

Ft. axle pivot bushings; There are grease fittings, but seldom serviced.

3-point; As strong as other MF tractors. No external Hyd filter. Internal filter/strainer can be serviced by removing (Gear driven) PTO shift plate. If it has IPTO, lift cover must come off to service filter.

Engine; Mine is strong, (rebuilt it) It does like gasoline.

How hard is it to get parts for the Continental gas engine? I have one that may require taking it apart and am wondering before venturing into it. It is a really handy little tractor and too nice to scrap out.

I had a local auto machine shop order sleeves, pistons, crank/rod bearings. They removed/installed the sleeves, removed/ground/installed valves, ground crankshaft -.010', resurfaced the head/deck. There are NO camshaft bearings to replace.

They didn't have the engine very long, two weeks on the outside.
