MF 65 How Much Mower?

How big (wide) of a bush hog/shredder type mower can a gas MF65 handle? I have a 5 footer on now and it's way too small. Wondered how much bigger I can go. Mostly used for mowing prairie grass or weedy areas. Sometimes can get tall. What are you guys using? Thanks.

I used to have a 65 high clearance and had a 6 ft, 3 pt mower on it. They were a good combination. If you go with a pull type, you can probably go 7-8 ft maybe bigger. It all depends on ho how tall the grass is and
how heavy the mower is. My father has a Massey 50 that we use a 5 ft 3 pt mower on but if we are just clipping the pasture, then we put the 7 ft pull type on it. I now have a Farmall 560 and have a 10 ft mower hook
to it for just clipping but will switch to the 7 ft if I want to actually brush hog. Hope this helps.

I have a 6 ft bush hog behind my 35 and it works great in tall grass (
knee high) I pull an 8 ft finish mower to mow the runway with but it
never gets to high. It?s Russell Bermuda grass and we bale it so I
don?t let it get to tall as it gets tough and stemmy.
