I spoke earlier about my discharge line leak and I replaced the washers today on the fuel line connector off of the pump.
That wasn't it.
It's still about a drop every 15 seconds

It's hard to see under the thing but fuel was collecting on the outermost bottom line (I think that's number 1) and so that's why I thought the washers needed replacing. Collecting between the round part the banjo bolt screws into and the fuel line.

Now I don't know where it's coming from. I can see 2 bolts on the bottom of the pump but they don't appear to be leaking and I don't know what they do either, so I didn't screw with them.

Is it possible for it to leak at the seam where the round part goes on the pump? The part the banjo bolt screws into?

Suggestions ? I may to need to finish bush hogging and just send the thing to dieseltech for refurbishment

Thank you once again.

A few questions please.

Does the timing gear cover need to be removed or are the 3 mounting bolts captured?
Don't want them in the oil pan, that would be a pain.
Removing the cover appears to be a right royal pain also.

Does the pump have the master spline mentioned in the manual for timing purposes or do I need to find TDC before removing it?

This is breaking new ground for me.

The oil fill cover comes off, NOT the whole front cover, to remove the three bolts in the pump drive gear that thread into the pump drive hub. Gear stays in place, and I stuff a shop rag in the lower gear area to make sure no hardware is dropped into the timing case. NO timing is needed as the gear has a dowel that locates into the pump drive hub machined notch. There's a scribe line on the pump flange the normally aligns with a scribe line on the timing case. After the pump lines and linkage are off, remove the three stud nuts and washers and pump will then pull out the back.

Thanks for those directions. It came off easy enough.

I did have to get inventive with ratchet extrension lengths to get that far back nut, but after removing the fuel lines it was easy enough.

I see I will need a timing gear bolt lock tab as someone had been in mine before me, and the lock tabs were missing.

It was also shipped today.
