Super 26 combine

I have had a Super 26 combine stored in a neighbor's shed for 30 years. He needs the room, so I have been asked to take it home. Will I damage anything if I just pull it home ? That would be much easier than getting it running again. Thanks!

Many years ago we moved a Model 26 (I think) about 30 miles. If it is the same model, we just took the drive chains off and towed it home with a pickup.

As psimmer said remove the drive chains. The chains may be frozen with rust and getting them off is a real challenge. BTDT. A sharp hacksaw is your best friend for this.

Those older Masseys usually had a hand brake and if the drive chains are removed the brake is no longer functional so beware and be ready to provide a counter acting force.

I saw you had this for sale on Craigslist. I had the ad open on my phone and was going to contact you about it but before I could the ad expired so I lost the contact number. If you are still interested in selling it I may be interested. Do you still have the grain auger? I see it is not on the combine.
