Massey Harris 50 Loader 1957

Looking for some advice... I've got a 1957 MH50 Loader . The tag on the loader shows model number as 202, made by Mid-Western Industries. I just got this tractor and want to check / fill the loaders' Hydraulic oil. I'm ok with the engine, P/S, and trans. oils. Can anyone tell me where the fill point, dipstick, filter is on this loader? Thanks in advance.

Not sure if it is the same or not, but we had a work bull 202 many years ago. Pretty sure with it there was a bell shaped vent on the top of the right hand loader mount. Under the vent was about a 15/16" nut. If you threaded out the nut a dip stick hung from the bottom of it, and you could fill it with a funnel through the dipstick hole.

Thanks for the reply. My MH50 loader has its bell shaped breather on the left mount along with the controls. There is no " dipstick" in that assembly. I do see a tank on the lower part of that left mount where I presume the filter is. I just don't know how to check for the proper amoumt of hydraulic oil. If I knew that, I can probably add through the breather. Sure wish I could find a manual on this Massey 50 with loader "Mid-Western Industries made for Massey Ferguson loader model 202". The 4 hydraulic cylinders have Davis embossed on them but an internet search for model 202 came up with nothing.

I picked a mf202 loader up at a farm auction last spring for my 135. The dipstick is under the breather as stated it hangs off the breather by a small chain. I took mine out and plugged it, and also removed the valve and fabricated a block off plate knowing I was going to use the tractor internal sump and pump. Unfortunatly I threw it away or else I could have measured down from bottom of vent to cross hatch on dipstick. This loader model I have seen on many mf tractors in my area aswell as a few case and fords. It seems the loader is easily modified to mount on different models. I am sure if you do some digging you could find that style loader on a tractor in your area and might be able to get a measurement from vent bottom to oil level to make one.
