MF 40B PTO INSTALLATION

I recently bought a MF 40B.. It doesn't have a pto. I checked on the parts and it adds up to over $800. The question is: does all those parts fit in my rear axle and can a retired mechanic without MF special tools do the work?

Be aware if the tractor has the four speed torque convertor transmission, the PTO will turn backward when in reverse..

As Dieseltec stated and you will need to have an overrunning clutch on the outer end of the PTO shaft.
