Got it running

Well I got it running, it wouldnt pump fuel for anything so as a last resort I took a 1 inch box end wrench and hit the fuel pump 5 or 6 times and it started pumping fuel, I hooked up the lines it turned over 5 or 65 times and started right up. It has 70 lbs of oil pressure at idle. Now all I have to do is stop the darned combustion chamber cover leaks

I'm apprehensive at even suggesting that this has worked for me........(Not an Engineered Procedure)

With GASKETS removed from Precom Caps,Caps set back on head with nuts finger tight..........I have taken a steel KING PIN...placed on PRE. COMP. CAP and waked
KING PIN with Mechanics Hammer.

I believe, after over torquing the PRE CAPS were no longer flat.

I finally had to chuck them up in a lathe.

Tedious, getting the exposed back surface lined up, but once accomplished it was straightforward to shave a bit off the gasket surface to true it up, and then a few thou off the rim of the chamber itself.

In retrospect, I should have made up a block to put in the chuck, to allow fast rechucking the things, in case more needed to be shaved off the cup rim.

Got it mounted and working as it should, I tightened the brackets and the vibration stopped
