I have a new issue come up, while removing strip stud bpoltbfor exhaust manifold, antifreeze starting coming out also, what's up with that??Im thinking Jill just have to silicone it in good and see what happens, this is on a74 mf 135, gas Perkins 3 cylinder!

So do you think the high temp. Silicone will work ok on the stud and would I have to drain down antifreeze for it to seal ok?

Would be best to drain it below the hole, then seal the stud threads with sealer. Perkins has a few holes that can be into water and oil when the holes are not blind.

I use PTFE sealer. You can get small tubes of it at your local auto parts store and some of the big box hardware stores sell it as well.

yes drain, as you want thing dry. make sure threads are good. I would use blue locktite, plus there is other sealers out there. I am definitely not a silicone fan, unless I was stranded in the bush and happened to find silicone hanging on a tree branch.
