I have my new rockshaft installed along with the rebuild kit for the pump an after adding hyd. fluid to sump the arms don't raise. I have the roller in front of the pressure control screw as figure 263 shows. My lift cover is p/n 1870951m1 an manual has figure 306 showing adj. screw with threads toward front. Mine is model w/o pressure control diaphragm and has the dashpot. My thought with this cover it should be as per fig. 263. Any help troubleshooting. I do have swirls an no drips from above.

Hello, first of all make absolutely certain that the stack pipe is correctly engaged in the front plate of the pump.
Secondly, observe the action of the pump lever wjen you operate the quadrant levers. The pump lever should move rearwards when raising the 3-point.
Third, operate the pump lever by hand with the engine running. You should have a response from the 3-point.

Today I made sure the stand pipe was in place. It had a diverter valve that I took off and replaced with a non diverter cap. Movement of the lever inside right cover moves back with hydro lever raised so I went out to the scrap 135 an observed the working and they matched the 245.I have large bubbles coming up near the filter on left and while I had the standpipe and cover off I blew air into the hole closest to left side and the arms raised so I think the pressure is not building.
If push comes to shove can I rob the pump from the 135 and swap the 21 spline shaft into the 135 pump and try that? Also the pump kit came with no instructions and the only orings I changed were with the 2 outside plates. Is there a way to use air to find source of pressure loss? The pressure relief valve wasn't replaced either.

The oil level for initial testing should be up to the bottom cover bolt. If it's lower you may be drawing air in. Remove the cap and stackpipe. Start the engine and run at IDLE only. Using a flashlight you should be able to see the front sp port on the pump. Operate the position control lever and you skhould see a see a flow of oil coming up from the pump. If you have this flow the linkage should work. DavidP

I'll look at that. Didn't see any bubbles from right side. I'll get back as soon as I clean out the fuel tank.
