Massey Furguson 10 not shifting into gear

I have a Massey Ferguson 10 garden tractor that I have been restoring. I got all back together and replaced all the belts but now
will not shift into gear when engine is running. I saw a post from 2017 but wont let reply to guy who had same problem just
wondering if anyone has an answer. I used all old MF part numbes when ording belts. Thanks

With the clutch pedal down, the belt needs to "grow" in length for the transmission INPUT pulley to stop for gear shifting. Make sure the belt support rods on front and rear pulleys are in place. If missing the belt will droop back into the pulleys, making shifting smoothly impossible.

(reply to post at 14:07:55 01/15/19)quote]Thanks for the reply! Not sure what you mean by belt support rods but I reinstalled all parts that was on this tractor when restoring and it shifted fine before I torn in down . Just replaced with new belts and now wont go into gear. I just wonder if I need to change shims in trans pulley since it is a new belt? Thanks again
