MF202 Tractormeter

I need a new tractormeter on my 202. It has no cable at all on it right now. I have all the manuals but none of them actually shows where the cable attaches to the tractor. Any help would be appreciated.

(quoted from post at 16:39:52 01/09/19) The 202 tach cable was run off the back of the generator.

That's kind of what I figured but this is the back of my generator. No place for a tach there.

I see the little plastic plug for oil in that picture. How much oil should I put in there? Would regular engine oil be ok?

(quoted from post at 20:16:42 01/09/19) You could convert it to a one wire alternator https://www.yesterdaystractors.com/Massey-Ferguson-202_Alternator-with-Tach-Drive_ADR0382.html and order the brackets. they have the drive for the generator https://www.yesterdaystractors.com/Massey-Ferguson-202_Proofmeter-Drive-Assembly_1751295M91.html but don't know if it will fit your generator.

So am I to assume that my generator is not the stock generator? Otherwise why would that generator with no tach drive be on there since the tractor has a tach?

My 2135 was the same way, someone at one time swapped the generator out for one that didn't have a tach drive on the back. They are more common, and cheaper without the tach drive.

Man...some people have no consideration at all for the next owner do they?
