Hi everyone,

Do the "special washers" go inside the pump and the hydraulic cap to be followed by the standpipe with the O-Rings?

Thanks,
Don

On my Massey 65, the special washer is pictured on top of the o-ring at the top of the standpipe. Both go in the groove at the top of the standpipe. That is the way I installed mine and no troubles. I am pretty sure it does not go inside the pump.

You have the early standpipe that does not use the white backup ring, O ring only. Backup rings are used on the wider standpipe grooves the 100 series and later tractors have.

Do you think it would be worth it to or possible to upgrade to a newer pipe?

That you once again for your help,
Don

Originally, I was going to try and get them both on but it looked to small. Also the AGCO parts diagram show the washer closest to the end of the pipe, then the O-ring. To me it seemed backwards. Thanks for the input,
Don

What you have works just fine. Pipes come in different lengths, good chance you might get the wrong one. When the backup white ring is used it always goes behind the O ring, meaning the O ring is toward the pipe end. O ring always goes into the pump or top cap or valve first, and tube goes deep enough both O ring and white backup enter the bore. Whenever the white ring is used on late wide ring tubes, MAKE SURE it does not overhang the tube, it must enter the bore also.
