I have a 383 mf I bought at auction, it needed an injector pump. Put new pump on and it shear the shaft. Bought new pump, filter, fresh fuel, cleaned all lines, replaced injectors. Shaft sheard again. What else can I do, pumps aren't cheap. Tractor sounds great rite up till it locks up the pump. Might have a hour on it with both pumps combined.
Any help would be great!!

i had a injector pump drive shaft shear it was caused by water in the diesel causing the injector pump to seizes and shear the shaft

Anytime an injection pump hydraulic head seizes the head needs pressed apart to find where the point of seizure is. Unless you know WHY and don't correct it most likely it WILL seize again. There are photos in head seizure service bulletins that help diagnose what the cause is. Water in fuel, dirt, driveline miss alignment are most common.

Where do I find (head seizure service bulletins) And thank you for taking the time to answer and giving me some fresh leads.
I did press the first one out, took a lot. 20 tons.

Repair stations have that info on hand. I did have a copy but would need to see if I still have it. If you have a station close by take the pressed out rotor and let them look at it.
