Hi all,
It is typical for a seal to have the lip/spring side towards the oil source. Thus far my experience has been that means the rubber side faces oil source and the metal side is the surface used to seat the seal.
The seal type I received are new to me. The all metal side can be pried back to expose the spring. The other side is hard rubber and is seal flat.
Thank's for the help,
Don
