Hello
Last night i was servicing my new to me this year 1964 MF FE 35X and i have a problem. From my reading I thought the hydraulic filter was a mesh screen like the multi power one and couple be wasted and reused. When i took the filter out of the rear end i found out about half of the paper element had totally worn away and what is left is basically falling off of the mesh.

It would be a life saver if someone had a NAPA or other parts store (piston ring) part number for the filter in the web link below
It is at a friends place and if i cant get the filter today i will have to drive the tractor home tonight without a filter in it. I would not be using the tractor for anything other than taking it down the road until i could get a filter. But i really want to have it complete. i live in the middle of nowhere so only have napa and piston ring as options

Thank you very much for your help

there was a lot of gunk on the multi power filter and the old oil was milky. I cant wait to use the tractor with fresh engine and hydraulic oil!

Napa does not have the lift pump filter, here is a link to their catalog for MF.

As long as you are not using the hydraulic pump, then you should be ok to drive it home as that system would not be in use.

I own and operate a 1963 MF 35 X:

The complete HYDRAULIC PUMP (original 1963 pump)had to be replaced in 2017:

The original owner, had wrapped a piece of mosquito screen around the oil Strainer and secured the Screen with a hose clamp.

I fabricated a lifter tool and installed the new Pump.

Thank you for the reply

I called the closest dealer and they have a couple in stock (450km away) they are going to ship one express post on monday to me. Luckily my fiend is happy to leave the tractor in the garage for a few days

Too bad i didnt ask around before because now a $10 filter is going to cost me about $45. Lesson Learned
