Massey Ferguson 65 gauges

I?m restoring a late model 65 I was wondering what the original gaugo looked like did they look similar to what?s on the 1100s and was also wondering where I could find a set

When I put my 1964 model 65 diesel back together, I didn't worry so much about original look as the span of the instruments and working correctly.
I also prefer numbers on the gauge rather than just a hi/low type gauge.

I got my tractormeter from YT and the other gauges from Steiner and Ebay. Also if you use the original generator it only puts out something like 10-12 amps. I used a mini alternator with 55 amp output necessitating a larger span gauge than original. This will also affect the tractormeter install ( length of the drive cable )depending if your hook up is at the back of the head or uses the generator drive for the hook up.

The biggest problem I had was adapting the oil pressure switch at the gauge to fit within the available space and not be hanging there flopping about. It's a little tight under there so I would do that one first.

It's just a matter of searching through available instrumentation and verifying size and span of the instrument to expected values and getting a quality gauge for a reasonable price.

I have an updated drawing of the wiring for my diesel if it will help.

The reason I asked what the original gauges look like it that the 65 that I bought came from a really good friend of mine that passed away last December he got me hooked on collecting old tractors and always tried to restore everything to original as possible I would like to do that with his 65

The 65 with gas engine used the type of Tractormeter driven by a cable off the back of the generator.
A replacement is available on the parts section of this site Part No: S.42754.

There are tons of gauges on eBay for reasonable prices. As far as what is original looking. I'm not sure of that.
