I'm. wondering why Massey chose to recirculate the return from the auxiliary hydraulic spool valve back to the intake of the pump? I posted earlier about the Aux pump to differential case clearance problem that I'm having on my 175. I could slightly reposition the pump to gain clearance and it would be much easier if I didn't need to worry about connecting the standpipe back to the pump. Is there any reason why it wouldn't work as good or better to simply let all of the fluid return to the differential housing? Seems like there would be less chance of building up air in the pump fluid if it were done this way like many open center systems. All I'd need to do is plug the standpipe port on the back of the auxiliary pump. Any ideas would be appreciated.
