1130 Massey Ferguson, was blowing snow, blower stopped I thought I broke a shear bolt, until i realized the 3pt would not lift, also lost steering, also tried to turn the chute, the cylinder will not move either. I checked the manual to see if there was troubleshooting to tell what or where to look, nothing in the book. I am guessing my pump is shot, I have no idea how or where to look to remove, or if there could be anything else to check?? Help, it's stuck in my driveway with no way to move it.

I'll bet you lost the charging pump drive, from a stripped spline coupler. That will cause exactly what you have. Fun part is there are two couplers, and loosing either one will kill all hydraulics. The front one is in the flywheel, the second is at the trans-diff case joint. Just guessing I'd start at the flywheel first as it's dry, the rear one runs in oil. BUT I've been wrong before...

AS LEOTECH stated probably the coupler, it would be the one on the flywheel. if it were the rear one you would have hydraulics but no PTO.

Ok, Would this be the coupler at the pump on the front of the engine, or is it really on the flywheel, which makes me think at the rear of the engine??? I have the owners manual, but it does not show anything. I did kind of look at the front last night while it was running, but i did not actually look at weather or not the pump end was turning....

Most likely lost the drive to the charging pump which feeds the front pump, which means the flywheel coupler or the rear coupler. The charging pump is driven by the teeth on the PTO clutch drum, just back of the rear coupler. Loose the splines on either and there's no PTO, MP, hydraulics, steering, or brakes. I've never seen the front drive fail at the front pump..

What is the best shop manual to get for one of these? How horrible is it if I have to split this thing? Still not sure which or if it is a coupler issue, been too cold here to even try to drag this thing back into the shed.

You don't have to split the tractor, On the floor just below the seat is a removable floor panel. Remove it and below is a top cover of the transmision, the pump is bolted to the underside of cover. Undo all lines and it just lifts right out pump and all.

Yes, the charging pump can come out, rear PTO box removed, then even the PTO drum that drives the pump, BUT it STILL needs split if the rear PTO drive coupler is bad..

Finally got the top cover off. The pto clutch pack that drives the charge pump turns pretty much freely, guessing that is the splines and or coupler that is shot, question is, can the pto drive shaft be removed from the rear and then can the clutch pack come out of the top cover opening to repair???

Just ordered the service manual from here, it appears to be the most complete. This is going to be a huge pain. Hope
I can fix it.
