Massey 101 senior questions

Years ago our big tractor on the farm was a 101 Senior. Wanted to get another as a tribute to grandpa and great grandpa. They had a Farmall M but the old Massey got used for all the belt and PTO work because it was powerful. A friend has one for sale. $900. Missing a few little things but should run with gas and a battery. Anything to check? I know there are a few people who make a lot of parts for these tractors. It's going to be restored and see some use.

Some of the engine parts are getting harder to find- but if it runs and drives. Keep in mind that if it does need engine components, the 44-6 used the same engine, and so did the 50 something to 60 something willys jeeps. Ee Bay is your friend for engine components, take my word.

These machines are pretty hardy. Like what was said engine components can become hard to find and some are pricy but you will find them. Other than that parts are being reproduced a lot more readily now. If the motor is not stuck $900 seems fair.
