I was going thru some stuff and found this sale bill from Aug 1985..A pulling friend Harris Pyeatt from Butler,MO had passed away..I attended this estate sale on a rainy cool August day..Times were tough and they literally gave every thing away..Most or all of the tractors sold for $500 each or less..I have the prices wrote down somewhere..His daughter Diane did keep her 18-27 Oliver HP antique puller..
It would be amazing the prices some of these tractors would bring today..Most were unrestored but were complete..
I bought box after box of old 1950"s Massey Harris sales literature for $15 to $30 a box..I had the cab of my 1979 Chevy K-30 so full of boxes that I could barely shift gears..Some friends got the rest of it..
The picture in color is Harris pulling his 1100 Massey at Rich Hill,MO in 1969..The black and white picture is from 1971 or 1972 when Harris won the 9000 SS class at the Missouri State Fair..Thats him on the left..He was really proud of the 1100 beating some very tough IH,AC,JD pullers..Harris also pulled a Super 90 Massey..
