In my fuel line...
MF35 deluxe - 1961...
Here is a video of the leak (might want to mute your speakers - this engine is LOUD this close)...

Question: How major of a deal is this? Should I be worried that it's gonna catch fire? How does a leak like this happen... Looks like it is coming from between the tube and the nut... the nut is 9/16ths as far as I can tell, but rounded off enough that the open-end wrench can't get a grip... so I tried to tighten it with pliers... it is already as tight as it can be... did the tube 'crack' or 'split'?

P.S. When/If I replace this line (or take it off and work on it), will I have to bleed the fuel system (as if it had run out of fuel)???

You probably have a worn or loose olive on the pipe. These can be
bought in most auto stores. simply disconnect the pipe, silde the
nut up and use a junior hacksaw to cut it above the original olive.Fit
the new olive and tighten the nut back down, the olive will
compress and tighten on the pipe. Pump some diesel through the
pipe with the hand primer before tightening it up and it should not
need any further bleeding.

Thanks, Sam...

I saw where someone has used copper tubing in part of the fuel system... I suppose that means that I can replace this stuff with regular plumbing supplies???

Well, it's a Standard diesel, what do you expect? Could be worse, is was just as boring as the wet Russian chicks in the next video....

I suppose you are right Roy, now that I take a better look, oil filter position- and is a different timing cover and CAV than mine... oh diesels are diesels, just put a baking tin under it....

Baking tin!?!?!? LMAO! That'll work... but what about when I'm going through the field spewing diesel everywhere? (well... spewing may be a slight exaggeration)... :D
