175 throttle linkage

The throttle on our 175 will not stay in the same place, making it difficult to use for spraying. I understand that this is a common problem. Does anyone know the correct way to fix it?

hi thats really odd because i just fixed my 165 yesterday.follow the throttle rod where it goes down threw the dash at the bottom you will see 2 nuts about 3 inches apart.between these 2 disc there is 2 cork washers 1 steel washer and a round tension spring its pretty simple takes about 1/2 hour 45 min to fix. RICK
