3 pt. lift control - Draft works, Position lever no response

Just picked up my "new" 135 2 days ago and have been tinkering with it since. Yesterday I drained all hyd. fluid and found filter. Looks like the original filter and had no new one to replace so I cleaned the old one best I could to get me by. Question is, only way I can raise the 3 pt. is with the draft lever. No response from the position lever.

Also, when I reassembled the PTO cover, the PTO will only work in the ground position. I have to have lever in the fully rear position to stop PTO from spinning. Guess I assembled it incorrectly. Any hints?

One last thing, my temp gauge is not working and I just installed a brand new mechanical gauge. The post is rather high on the block, I am used to the probe being lower.

Thanks.

Hi,
The DRAFT lever should be fully raised before you can use the POSITION CONTROL lever. Does your tractor have PRESSURE CONTROL? This is an extended inner quadrant. If you do, make sure that the inner lever is in the rear section of the inner quadrant.
Are you sure it was working before?
As to the PTO problem it looks like you have refitted the cover with the tip of the selector arm not engaged in the gear. Rather that sliding the gear back and forth you are just holding it one place. Remove the cover and ensure that the selector is engaged.
Sounds like you have a petrol engine in your tractor. The attachment point for the 3-cyl diesel is at the front of the cylinder head.
If its a purely mechanical gauge did you clean out the area where the probe fits? There may be debris that is preventing the probe picking up the heat 'signal'.
