Massey Harris 101 Sr.

Hi,

I am currently restoring a 1945 101 Senior that is my grandfathers. he has owned it since the early 60's. I am only 24 and when i was little, i used to ride that over and over. I am restoring it because i want him to see what it was like in its glory. He bought it at a farm auction in Vernmont and Drove it home to Upstate NY. Took him 8 hours. Glad it has a velvet ride seat! I am having a really hard time finding parts for it. I found a place to buy all the seals for the axels and pto, etc. I work at a body shop and got paint by the gallon that was $230 for red and $200 for yellow. I have used one gallon of red so far and will have to buy at least one more gallon to finish. Is your tractor mostly complete? My grandfathers was mostly complete but the sheet metal was in fair to poor condition. I tore his down as far as i could. Right down the the bare frame. I had the motor rebuilt for $1500 and i will probably have $3000 in body work. I have purchased $2500 in used parts through ebay and other websites. I will have another $1000 in tires. I wish you the best of luck and if i can help with any information please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks
Ben

Your engine I am assuming is the 123 flat head Chrysler. I may be able to supply you with a good running engine.
