MF 135 clutch

I havent gotten back around to finish up the tractor since it started leaking hydraulic fluid through the center housing. One thing i noticed on my short drive with it, was i still dont think i have the clutch adjusted quite right. I dont feel 2 stages of the clutch. It wanted to grind a little when shifting gears and the pto lever unless i pushed down on the clutch (came to a complete stop of course) waited a few seconds and then enguaged it. Is this normal or not?

I can only relate how my 135 works. It normally grinds a little when putting it into gear unless I wait what seems to be a long time (several seconds, as you say).
The 2nd stage (PTO) of the clutch is only the bottom 1-1.5 inch of the clutch pedal travel.
Yours sounds like mine. Normal? ¿Quien Sabe?
