Is there a cost-effective way

to add hydraulic remotes to a 135? Or is it always an expensive proposition? I know that used parts are scarce and expensive, but I would like to have some more flexibility with that tractor, since it is one of our 3 "main line" tractors.

If you have multipower on your tractor, than you just need to plumb in the fittings, and you will be good to go for a single acting cylinder or you can plumb into the pressure port and put it on constant pumping and run remotes off of that.

Hello Wesley -

There is another option to cobble up remotes. There is a switch valve that fits on the top of the transmission, replacing the plate on the right front, just below the front of the seat.

Last one I bought was about $100.

This switches between the tractor three-point and remotes. You can have only one or the other operating at once.

Then you add a remote valve to meet your needs - single, two or three spool. Some switch valves have a return port; if not, there's a port on the transmission cover, left side, about midway under the seat. It's a 3/8 (I think!) pipe plug with an allen head.

The output volume is proportional to your engine revs, with maximum delivery of around 4 gpm available at full throttle. Pressure is about 2500 psi. That operates a loader with 2" lift cylinders quite satisfactorily, larger cylinders would be slower.
