just wondering if i should invest in a new drive pinion, this one i got is pretty worn, not sure why. got the hydraulics all fixed up, figured i'd change the leaking seals in the left rear axle, and also noticed this was worn out....never really had any issues with it though.

fender, you need to replace the crown wheel and pinion; there must be a lot of metal left in your rear end, make sure you clean it all out or it could jam up your hyd pump control valve. make sure you use epoxy glue on the bolts when you fit the new crown wheel to the carrier. cheers and good luck from down under.

I got a little pressure sprayer and some degreaser to clean out the tractor but it didnt work very well, im not too sure how to clean it all out thoroughly

Hi Sibby,
Where ya bin? Haven't seen any postings from you for ages.

Sadly of course the both items have to be replaced and set up correctly. Check also for damage to the crownwheel teeth. This one may have damage to the pinion bearings as well.
